Bactiguard in business venture with 5 000 Chinese hospitals

Bactiguard has signed an exclusive agreement with the Chinese Pharmaceutical distributor, Jian An.
The amount of 40 million Swedish kronor has been paid for the exclusive rights to sell the entire line of Bactiguard´s products throughout China.
At the signing of the agreement, The Jian An company placed its first order of 70 000 Bactiguard catheters.

According to Jian Ans own calculations, Bactiguard´s products could reach sales of 1.2 billion throughout China within 5 years. “This is the largest and most important business deal in the history of Bactiguard”, says Christian Kinch, CEO of Bactiguard.

Just recently, China´s Ministry of health published new guidelines for the dramatic reduction in the use of antibiotics for the purpose of limiting the spreading of multi resistant bacteria, which is a growing problem today. Jian Ans CEO, Zhangyi Zhan has explained why the company has chosen to work with Bactiguard, “The company has a unique as well as clinically proven solution in preventing health care associated infections, which proves to us just how great the potential of Bactiguard´s products is.” Bactiguard´s head of Chinese operations, Johan Rugfelt adds, “We have worked very hard in finding the best possible partner in the world’s biggest market. Jian An fulfils all of our requirements”.

Bactiguard has, with great success, worked with numerous Swedish authorities and organizations in the internationalizing of the company, as is the process in China. Mats Röjdmark is the head of the Swedish Trade Commission in China: “It was extremely exciting to be able to help Bactiguard in this important negotiation”.
