Swecare & Bactiguard Winner of the Swecare Export Award 2008

Yesterday, Bactiguard was presented with the Swecare Export Award by the Minister for Health and Social Affairs, Göran Hägglund. The decisive factor for the jury was Bactiguard’s creative development of export opportunities.

– Fantastic! Things are going extraordinarily well for Bactiguard just now and, with Swecare’s assistance, we have identified markets that we didn’t know existed, says Christian Kinch, CEO of Bactiguard.

Göran Hägglund had the following to say about this year’s winner:

– I congratulate Bactiguard on receipt of the Swecare Export Award. Based on an outstanding business concept, the company has succeeded, in a remarkable way, to exploit the opportunities presented by new markets. Bactiguard can serve as a model for many Swedish entrepreneurs who wish to help create improved healthcare for people throughout the world.

The prize was established in connection with Swecare’s 30th anniversary to encourage, and shed the spotlight on, successful Swedish companies and create good examples of successful export efforts.

The jury’s reasoning:

“During the year, Bactiguard has, with great success, innovative thinking and creativity, developed its export opportunities on many new markets in a goal-oriented manner.”
