Bactiguard Wound Care solution/spray

Helps to clean the wound, reduce bacterial load, reduce fetid odour and support the natural healing. The active ingredient, hypochlorous acid (HOCl), is the same substance as the immune cells use in their defence against infectious organisms.

The solution has proven antimicrobial properties against a wide range of pathogens. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including MRSA), fungi and spores.1

The product is also proven to be effective against biofilm. The in vitro test results show that the solution can reduce biofilm concentration with up to 99.9%.1 Read more about the test results >>>

The solution is safe and proven non-irritant and noncytotoxic to the skin. It has been tested for biocompatibility as per ISO 10993 and has passed the In vivo and In vitro studies. Read more about the test results >>>

Bactiguard Wound Care Gel/Gel Spray

Moistens the wound and has a soothing and bacteriostatic effect. Maintaining a moist wound bed enhances the debridement process of necrotic and sloughy tissue and accelerates the wound healing. Contains sodium hypochlorite which effectively prevents growth of bacteria, fungi and virus as well as reduces bad wound odour.

How to use Bactiguard Wound Care

Bactiguard Wound Care is easy to use and can be applied directly to wounds. There are no known contraindications and it can be combined with other forms of wound treatments, such as Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT). The products are demonstrated to be extremely safe, gentle and hypoallergenic.

Product range

Bactiguard Wound Care system is CE marked (approved in the EU) medical devices class III and class IIb and meets the US Pharmacopoeia 41 NF 36, Chapter 51 – Antimicrobial Effectiveness Test.

The assortment may differ between markets, please contact us for more information. In some selected markets the products are registered under the brand Hydrocyn® aqua Wound Care.
