Hydrocyn® aqua advanced wound care solution is a pH-neutral, oxidizing and water-based solution that kills microbes such as bacteria, fungi and spores and inactivates virus. The solution is also proven to be effective against biofilm.

Mechanism of Action
The active substance hypochlorous acid (HOCl) is a part of the human immune system. Hydrocyn® aqua is able to penetrate the outer layer of the bacteria, fungi and viruses and destroys the cell from the inside (which eventually inactivates the cell).
Hydrocyn® aqua has no negative effect on human cells and is biocompatible which means it does not cause any irritation to the body.
Hydrocyn® aqua has been tested on several microorganisms following the ASTM E2315 standard test. The tests show that Hydrocyn aqua® is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria (including MRSA) fungi and spores.
