Bactiguard’s booth got a lot of attention at the 3rd International Conference on Prevention & Infection Control (ICPIC). Participants from some hundred countries attended the conference on 16 to 19 June 2015 in Geneva in Switzerland. The forum offered a great opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with experts specialized in infection control on how to prevent healthcare-associated infections and tackle the steadily increasing antimicrobial resistance.
We are encouraged by the great interest in our unique solution for infection control. Participants from many countries, including Brazil where we have recently established business together with our distributor Promedon, stoppad by to learn more, says Nina Nilsson, Marketing Director.
Once again the organizers, led by Professor Didier Pittet and members of the scientific planning committee managed to attract some of the world’s leading experts in infection control to the faculty of the meeting. The program featured a special dedication to Ebola this year. A large proportion of time was also dedicated especially to device related infections, antibiotic use and how to fight the rapidly increasing spread of multi-resistant bacteria.
More than 430 abstracts were also submitted to the conference, many from low- and middle-income countries. To enable the participation of fellows from such regions of the world, Bactiguard was pleased to sponsor a travel grant, contributing to having more than 80 countries represented at the meeting.
