For the first time, a delegation of representatives from the Swedish health care system, academia and companies in the health care sector visits Zambia. As part of this, the Embassy of Sweden in cooperation with the Zambian Ministry of Health, the Swedish Ministry of Health and Social Affairs and Swecare Foundation arranged a Sweden – Zambia Health Cooperation Conference & Expo. The conference took place on the 6th of February.
More than 180 people listened to Zambias First Lady Christine Kaseba also gynecologist doctor with a big engagement in Zambian health care.
Professor Göran Tomson from Karolinska was keynote speaker and talked about the private sector in health care in Zambia and State Secretary Karin Johansson talked about cooperation with swedish companies in Zambia. Bactiguards Linda Nyberg held a presentation about infection control.
