Recently, Bactiguard’s Chief Medical Officer, Pankaj Malhotra, and Sophie Dahan, General Manager of Licensing, attended the European Bone and Joint Infection Society (EBJIS) conference in Barcelona, joining our partner Zimmer Biomet at their booth, which showcased ZNN Bactiguard and an impressive hands-on demo of how our technology works.
One of many highlights was Zimmer’s side event about “Cutting Edge Infection Management,” which featured Dr. Pablo Corona from the University Hospital Vall d’Hebron presenting intra-operative technologies for infection prevention and our joined Zimmer® Natural Nail® System with Bactiguard® Technology to prevent implant-related infections. Thank you for the inspiring session.
Pankaj Malhotra comments: “Joining Zimmer Biomet at their booth at EBJIS was an excellent opportunity for us to present our technology in collaboration with one of the leaders in orthopedic innovation. The interest of the attendees was phenomenal, especially the hands-on demonstration of the Bactiguard effect at the booth was a hit.”
Sophie Dahan adds: “The setup at Zimmer Biomet’s booth was truly impressive, and it showcased not only their strong expertise in orthopedic implants but also the seamless integration of our infection prevention technology. The discussions we had highlighted their appreciation of how our technology directly enhances patient safety and reduces infection risks in trauma management. “
EBJIS provided an excellent opportunity for Bactiguard to meet with Zimmer Biomet’s team, key opinion leaders, and medical professionals from around the world. Once again, Zimmer Biomet outdid itself with a great booth and presentation, providing an excellent stage for the Bactiguard technology and our partnership.
